In the last decade or so the world has shown a paradigm shift from analog to digital. More and more people are consuming all kinds of information online hence making digital marketing the best way to reach out to your targeted customers. We ask why Digital Marketing is important.

The importance of digital marketing works not only in favor of marketers but it provides something innovative to the consumers too. Let us have a look and understand the importance of digital marketing.

digital-marketing

1. Better Growth Options For Small business

The importance of digital marketing for business lies in the option to select your method of marketing as per your budget and reach a wider audience at a lesser cost. Even a decade back getting your product marketed especially for a small business was a task in itself. They had to resort to small level methods where the guarantee of success was close to negligible.

2. Higher Conversion Rate

The businesses that are opting for digital marketing are able to measure the conversion rate through real-time using a simple method. That is identifying the percentage of viewers who get converted into leads and then subscribers and in the end finally purchasing the service or product. SEO, Social media marketing and Email marketing are methods which have a high conversion rate as they are able to generate a quick and effective communication channel with the consumer.

Surprisingly all the traffic that you may get on your website may not be fruitful hence digital marketing lets you reach out to only those who have the need for your kind of service hence offering better lead conversions.

3. Establishing Brand Reputation

For any business to survive the one thing that they really need to work upon is establishing a reputation that is impeccable. In the past few years, it has become evident that customers will always prefer a company that does not have any scandals associated with it. The importance of Digital marketing today lies in offering you multiple ways to establish a personal rapport with your customer base.

4. Solving Customers Problems

Be it email marketing or social media you can always offer the customer solutions to their problems and make them relate to your product by even providing live chat access. Your website and social media page can easily be converted into a place where the consumer can ask queries, give suggestions and hence take the association with you on a positive level.

After Google mobile-first update nearly almost all the websites these days are made in a manner that they are easily viewable on the mobile as well. This is because almost all customers have access to a smartphone and most of them even look for products on the same.

6. Expansion of Faith In Your Brand

The presence of your brand and service on multiple platforms gives the option to customers to rate your services as per their level of experience. A positive and favorable review left by a satisfied customer causes the new ones to immediately convert. This, in turn, leads to the building up of the strong image of the brand in the minds of the new consumers hence leading to more conversions.

7. Better ROI for your Investment

While earlier budget allocations were done individually to handle each kind of marketing medium the situation becomes more progressive now. Even a small level of investment done in a mode of email marketing has the potential to deliver results in terms of customer engagement. Using web analytics helps the business owners know whether your website is providing optimal ROI.

8. Digital marketing is Cost-Effective

A small business needs to save up on its resources before it finally goes into the green zone and starts making profits. Digital marketing gives you the scope to reach out to many customers at the same time and that too within your budget. You can plan your marketing strategy such that you only use modes that lie in your budget. If there is a budget constraint then you should always target your niche audiences.

As per a study conducted by IPSOS Hong Kong in accordance with Google has shown that compared to traditional methods, digital marketing is known to generate 2.8 times more revenue. This coupled with the fact that the conversion rates here are much high ensure that you are minting money as soon as you enter the fray.

The most important benefits of digital marketing are reaching your audience to the fullest. Under traditional marketing, you are being bounded by the scope and size of your audience and print media limits you to certain places and markets.

Digital marketing benefits you to target your audience farther. There are higher chances that your audience is spending time on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, etc. where you can publish an advertisement to gain more engagement with your audience.

Another major advantage of online marketing is that they are very easy to understand. You can easily understand through the result of tactics which one is giving you results and which one is not. Strategies that are implemented in online marketing gives you results on a real-time basis.

For example, if you want to promote your blog page then you can simply share your blogs on various social media platforms. With the help of content marketing, you can increase your engagement with your audience very soon and very accurate.

13. Can Start With A Small Budget As Well

Everyone has a budget problem in life therefore many businesses didn’t promote themselves. But Digital marketing gives you another advantage of promoting your business with a very small amount. Online marketing benefits small businesses on a large scale with a small investment amount.

For instance, if you are the manufacture of hand made handicrafts but you don’t have money to promote your business then online marketing would play a significant role as with an amount of 10,000 you can publish your content over social media with a budget of 300 per day. Through this, you can promote your business for a period of one month especially to your targeted audience.

14. Go Beyond your Boundaries:

Using digital marketing for the promotion of your business is very unique in nature. You need to come out of your comfort zone and have to put some effort into it. Digital Marketing benefits you only if you are taking an active part in it. The role of digital marketing is very fast as it includes SEO, SMO, SME, and various other processes.

Conclusion:

The future of digital marketing seems very bright at the moment. However, while brands were earlier competing with each other’s marketing strategy now the focus has shifted to a fight against the entire internet. This is the time when brands will have to use different modes and ways to actually delve and make an impact on the customers.

7 Ways to Help Ensure Your Business Succeeds

The following is an edited excerpt from Successfully Navigating the Downturn by Donald Todrin from Entrepreneur Press.

The darkest days of the Great Recession are over, so we are told, but I’m finding that sales have increased only slightly for some small-business owners, while revenue remains deeply depressed for many. While some customers are loosening up their wallets a little, it is clear purchasing habits have changed.

Deep economic changes have occurred, and business will never be the same.ADVERTISING

Entrepreneurs — whether they’re an unemployed person striking out on their own or a seasoned veteran trying to get the mojo back again — must do things differently in order to survive. Everyone must change, especially small-business owners.

Luckily, what have not changed are the business fundamentals, those management traits that successful entrepreneurs almost all possess: tenacity, commitment and vision, and basic business skills.

New strategies are required, however, strategies designed to work in a changing business climate.

I’ve had a chance to develop and implement these strategies first-hand during the recession and its aftermath — and have employed them myself. Not only have I consulted with many businesses over the years, but I’ve had a hand in running over 57 businesses of my own. I have a good idea of what works and doesn’t work today, learned in the front lines of hand-to-hand small-business combat.

Here are seven tips that will help to ensure your business is a success:

1. Have a written plan. Without a plan, it is merely a dream. It doesn’t have to be a book, but you need a few pages outlining specific objectives, strategies, financing, a sales and marketing plan, and a determination of the cash you need to get things done. Writing it all down is a crucial first step.

2. Don’t marry your plan. Every great military general in history has known that even the best-laid plan sometimes has to be thrown in the fire when the bullets start flying. Adjust, confront and conquer.

3. Keep your ego in check and listen to others. Advisors are crucial because you need people to bounce ideas off, inspect what you’re doing, and push you to greater accomplishments, holding you accountable for what you are committing to do. Always be good to your word and follow through on commitments, even when difficult and challenging. This isn’t about you; it’s about the business. Don’t take things personally and stay out of emotion. Do not let your ego take control.

4. Keep track of everything, and manage by the numbers. Create written systems for everything, because you will reap benefits from them later on. This is how you train your employees and retain consistency. Know your numbers and check them daily and make all decisions based on what they tell you. One of the most important calculations is cash flow pro forma. Determine how much cash you need to do the business, and do not start without the required cash on hand.

5. Delegate to employees and avoid micromanaging them. A manager’s job is to delegate and then inspect progress. So don’t be a control freak. Keep business organization flat. If you delegate effectively, you will get more and better then you expect. Have an actual written training and orientation plan so your employees know what is required of them. Use an incentive-based rewards system, and maintain a no-problem attitude about issues that crop up.

6. Use the Internet. It is incredibly powerful and very cost efficient, but it takes time and some skill. It is about creating a community, using social media networking such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and blogging to build rapport with your market. You need to get on the train and do it, because your competitors are.

7. Reinvent your business. It is net profit, not gross revenue, that you want to focus on. Separate yourself from your history and create a new competitive advantage, be it a focused niche or super service, but not by discounting.

Above all, have fun. Being an entrepreneur is your choice, so make it work. It can be done. You can survive, emerge and succeed in this downsized economy, if you follow the right path.

KWARA STATE POLICE COMMAND RE-DEMOLITION OF ILE-ARUGBO IN ILORIN

PRESS RELEASE

4TH JANUARY, 2020

RE-DEMOLITION OF ILE-ARUGBO IN ILORIN

The Command wishes to respond to the news making the rounds in Kwara State and beyond, to the effect that Kwara State Police Command took active part in the demolition of the property referred to as Ile-Arugbo along Iloffa road, GRA, Ilorin.

The Command wishes to make it clear that as part of its safety and crime prevention strategies in ensuring a hitch free celebrations during the Christmas and the new year festivities, Police patrol vans were stationed at strategic points across the state, including Iloffa road GRA,Ilorin on the 31/12/2019 being the new year eve. As was witnessed by all and sundry, the Christmas and new year celebrations were generally peaceful throughout the state. Our anti crime deployment during this period has nothing to do with any demolition exercise in the state.

For the purpose of emphasis, the Command wishes to immediately dispel the insinuations that the men reported to have been firing indiscriminately during the demolition exercise were deployed by the Kwara state police command. No policeman was deployed by the command for any demolition exercise anywhere in the state and no policeman deployed for anticrime duties during the Christmas and new year celebrations fired a single shot of ammunition or canister during this period. Consequently, the Commissioner of Police, kwara state Ag CP Kayode Egbetokun has immediately directed a full scale investigation into this allegation with a view to determining the veracity of this report.

Top 10 Problems We See When Companies Manage Their Own Websites

Do It Yourself DIY projects often sound like a good idea. You decide to replace your own deck, because it will save you money. You try to fix your own car so you don’t have to pay a mechanic. But DIY projects don’t always work out. You find rot under your deck when you try to tear it down. Your car doesn’t work quite right after you put the new part in. You need professional help to get the job done right.

The same goes for website management. We here at Delbimax Websolutions have met many companies who want to manage their own websites, because they think it will save them money. But, we have also seen the many problems that occur when they try to run a website without the expertise that professionals bring. Following are the top 10 issues we see when companies try to manage their own websites.

Ineffective Website Strategy

Did you know that managing a website works best when you have a strategy? Do you know how to create that strategy? A strategy tells you what you want to do with your website and how you want to do it. It is based on information about your company, industry, and customers. Without having a plan in place, you don’t know what might work best on your website. You might be losing sales, or reaching the wrong audience, or not reaching enough people, and not even know it.

Our website management services here at Delbimax Websolutions help you to put a plan in place for your business. Then, we make sure that your website uses that strategy, and we track your website’s performance so we know if the strategy is working. The result? More visitors, more business, and more return on your website investment.

Lack of Website Tracking

Do you know how many visitors came to your website in the last month? Do you know how long they stayed on each page? Do you know whether they made any purchases or signed up for your email list? Do you know how they found your website?

Many businesses who manage their own websites don’t have the time or know-how to keep track of these statistics. Yet, all of that information affects how you run your site. Without it, you don’t know if your website strategy is working. You don’t know if your ads are bringing in customers. You don’t know how much money you are making from your website. With Delbimax Consulting, you get detailed tracking of all your website activity so you know exactly how well your website is working.

Technical Mistakes

Website templates make it look easy to set up a website. Upload some photos and content and be on your way. But a website actually requires a lot of technical expertise. If you don’t know how to make a mobile friendly web design, if you aren’t sure what metadata is, if you can’t fix an error page when it appears, you might need the help of professionals.

We here at Delbimax Websolutions oversee all of the technical aspects of your website. This means that you can focus on running an amazing business, while we focus on making your website run smoothly.

Dead Pages

One problem with Do It Yourself website management is that companies often don’t have the time to keep their website working. As with anything else in life, a website will break down if it isn’t carefully maintained. That is why one of the top problems we see in websites that are managed by their companies are dead pages. These are pages that give you an error message instead of content.

Dead pages are a problem, because people who land on them aren’t likely to stay. They would rather go to another site where they can find the information they are looking for. If you aren’t sure if all of your web pages are working, or if you don’t know how to fix your dead pages, we can help. We will find and fix all of your dead pages and then do regular inventories of your website to catch those problems before they can hurt your business again.

Broken Links

Like broken pages, broken links tend to pile up when a business doesn’t have the time or know how to maintain their links. Whether these broken links are to an outside website or to other pages on your site, they can hurt your professional reputation. Plus, when visitors can’t find the page they are looking for by using your links, they may go to another website.

If you want to fix your broken links and keep visitors on your site, you may need the help of professionals. We can repair or remove your broken links and provide you with website support that will keep all of your links functioning in the future.

Outdated Content

Have you ever visited a web page with a blog post that was three months old? Did you ever find a promotion on a website that was expired? Have you ever found the same old pictures on a website time and time again? That old content probably made you feel like the company didn’t care very much about its site, or its website visitors. People who find outdated content on your site probably think the same things about your business.

If you want to make visitors feel interested and welcomed to your website, you need to keep the content fresh. If you don’t have time to do it yourself, you can outsource it to professionals such as the ones here at Delbimax Consulting. We can help you plan and implement fresh content and photos on a regular basis so your website always feels relevant to your visitors.

Outdated Features

Website features change all the time. Software is upgraded. Best practices change. New features come on the market. Yet, when businesses try to manage their own websites, they often struggle to stay on top of the latest developments. As a result, they end up with a website that isn’t as secure, functional, or appealing as it could be.

We help you keep your website fresh by staying on top of industry changes for you. If a new plug in becomes available, we can install it for you. If we notice a new feature that could enhance your site, we can implement it for you. With our support, you can enjoy a website that is always fully updated and secure.

Ineffective Web Design

Web design is also always changing. Businesses that do not keep up may lose visitors. For instance, when Google started giving mobile friendly websites better places in the search results, companies that didn’t upgrade their websites suffered. Even smaller issues, such as old pictures or a confusing navigation bar, can affect visitors’ experience on your site.

That is why our web design services help you to create a fresh look for your site. We can help you redesign or simply tweak your website to make it look modern and appealing to visitors and search engines alike. And, we stay on top of web design trends so you will always be sure to have the most up to date web design possible.

Poor SEO Performance

Did you know that how you rank in the search results depends on how well your website is designed and maintained? For instance, outdated content makes your site look bad to search engines, just like it makes your site look bad to your website visitors. If search engines don’t think you have anything helpful to offer their users, they won’t put you very high in the search results. That is just one example of how your website can affect your SEO performance.

With our help here at Delbimax Consulting, you can improve your rankings in the search results. We help you create a strategy for improving your performance. Then, we help you implement it and maintain it so you enjoy as much visibility in the search results as possible.

Wasted Resources

Companies usually choose to manage their own websites because they want to save money. The truth, however, is that they often end up losing time and money instead. For instance, if you are spending 10 hours a week maintaining your website, you are spending 10 fewer hours a week growing your business. How much money in new business is that actually costing you? If you don’t know how to use your website to rank higher in the search results, how much is that costing you in visitors and profit? You might actually be losing more money than you are saving by managing your website by yourself.

When we manage your website, we use our expertise to make your website as effective as possible. Plus, we free you up to use your skills to grow your business. The result? In the long run, we can actually help you save more money than you would have saved managing your site by yourself.

Managing your own website is possible. But, it isn’t always the best option. By contacting Delbimax Consulting, you save time and money while enjoying a fresh, relevant, and functional site. With your extra resources you will be able to invest even more into building a successful business that is accurately reflected in a stunning website

5 Reasons why you need to start affiliate marketing in Nigeria

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing involves having your own site and sending your traffic to someone else’s site to buy their products or services. For every sale initiated by a link from your site, you earn a percentage–an affiliate sales commission.

Before I share the best affiliate marketing programs in Nigeria, I will like to show you 5 important reasons why you need to start affiliate marketing in Nigeria today.

5 Reasons why you need to start affiliate marketing in Nigeria

In Nigeria today, affiliate marketing is an amazing way to earn money through internet marketing, because affiliate programs, especially high paying affiliate programs will reward you with a certain sum for every successful sign up you bring their way.

Apart from having a very low startup cost, affiliate marketing can be a very lucrative online business opportunity for Nigerians who have a significant online presence.

Here are more reasons why you should stop everything else you are currently doing online and consider best affiliate marketing tips and techniques from our digital marketing course to help you make the most out of affiliate marketing and become richer than you currently are.

You should do affiliate marketing because:

1. Affiliate Marketing Programs have Low Startup Cost

low-startup-cost

Other startups require huge startup cost. In fact, with a startup, you can spend 1 year raising a large capital investment from investors before your business can function.

In affiliate marketing, you only need to spend a paltry $3/month on plus $7 for a custom domain name in order to launch a website (sometimes you don’t even need a website!). We offer cheap hosting services for your website or blog if you intend to create a blog from scratch.

From then on, your only true costs are content, which you should be able to write yourself, choosing a responsive and free CMS like WordPress and website design and then writing a blog post to help generate traffic and sales to your site.

Also if you don’t have any money to start, you can use free social media, website creation and plugin tools that we provide to students and graduates of our digital marketing course to start your affiliate marketing business.

Even once you start earning an income with your site, your overheads will still remain low. You don’t need to hire an expensive office to meet clients in, you don’t need to hire anyone to deal with customer support (like you would in an e-commerce venture).

2. Affiliate Marketing Programs Earn An Income Quickly

Earn An Income Quickly

With affiliate marketing, you can literally start making money almost straight away.

If you work in popular niches such as technology and fashion for instance, then you can earn lots of money for every customer you refer to buy. You only need to refer a few customers every month to make huge money.

This strategy is how I started my own affiliate marketing business around studying at college. I then kept re-investing and doubling my income to the point where I was making enough money to pursue it full time as a career. It really can scale quickly once you start to see your first sales.

Remember, you don’t need to provide any ongoing support or services to your referred customers. Once you’ve referred them, the operator/merchant will take care of the customer loyalty and upsell marketing campaigns.

Learn how to start and grow your own wildly profitable business that makes money online using digital marketing so you can build the business (and the life) you’ve been dreaming of. You will learn how our students are making upto $10,000 and more per month consistently online using digital marketing.

Mr. Kunle, for instance, a blogger, earns ₦100,000 almost monthly from Konga.com affiliate programme, after graduating from our digital marketing course, where he learned the best affiliate marketing formula in the industry.

If you blog on specific niches such as web technology and fashion, you can be sure to earn lots of money for every customer you refer to buy. You only need to refer your readers from your content and ads to make huge money.

That’s one of the many strategies that Mr. Kunle employed.

3. You Can Make Millions From Affiliate Marketing

You Can Make Millions From Affiliate Marketing

One of the misconceptions of affiliate marketing is that it’s only for small businesses. However, there are plenty of cases where affiliates have gone on to build multi-million-pound brands and ventures.

Some Nigeria blogger like Mr Pascal Okafor, the owner of www.naijatechguide.com has hit a jackpot with Konga.com affiliate program. He won N1,000,000 as the best affiliate marketer of konga.com.

The truth is, affiliate marketing has no limits, the more traffic you garnered, the more money you make. It’s your affiliate marketing strategy that matters most.

One of the lessons to be learned here is to launch an affiliate marketing business in a high growth industry in Nigeria or one where you can add your own unique value to your Nigerian visitors. This is what will help you scale your site quicker and reach that dream of retiring at 21…hehe.

4. It’s Easy To Scale An Affiliate Marketing Business

It’s Easy To Scale An Affiliate Marketing Business

Many successful affiliate marketers have discovered that scaling their businesses into the white label, dropshipping or wholesale operations was not a terribly difficult task. An increasingly common thing I’m seeing successful affiliates do nowadays to scale their operations is to launch their own white-label operation or skin

The advantages of starting your own white label are that you can increase your conversions by reducing traffic leakage as well as recruiting other affiliates to promote your brand on your behalf.

It also is very easy to scale an affiliate marketing site in eCommerce by venturing into dropshipping or wholesale.

5. Many Monetization Sources

Many Monetization Sources

Affiliate marketing lends itself really well to different marketing channels and sources of customer acquisition.

For example, RightCasino managed to monetize traffic through industry and entertainment news, Twitter, PPC (we’ve just translated our site into foreign languages to take advantage of cheaper sources of traffic in other countries), email marketing and others.

This can seem like a very dauntig task, but we have shredded this process into an ABC and step-by-step formula in our digital marketing course that you can follow to stay ahead of the game.

Some brands even let you advertise your affiliates links directly on media and PPC networks such as Facebook. This means you don’t even need your own website to start affiliate marketing.

Okay, that’s it.

Now that you’ve seen why you should start affiliate marketing in Nigeria, what then are you waiting for?

If you really want to build a profitable business online, this article will be an eye-opener because you will find a host of important affiliate marketing programs in Nigeria and their various links to get registered right away.

Here are the list of legitimate Affiliate programs, companies or merchants in Nigeria you can promote their products or service as an affiliate marketer to earn passive income online and how to start affiliate marketing in Nigeria. (This should have been an exclusive content in our digital marketing course but we’ve chosen to dish it out for free. Perhaps, if you want to learn more, you should join our next training course. Space is limited!)

Being in Business without a Website is like doing Skydiving without a Parachute

When the Internet was new, many professionals and business owners wondered what all the fuss was about. While some companies rushed to set up shop in this new online space, others simply did not see the point.

Let’s discuss your project

Those days are long gone, and no business — no matter how small — can afford to ignore the power of the Internet. If your business is not yet online, you are invisible to an increasingly large portion of the population. That means potential customers will never be able to find you and never be able to take advantage of the services you offer.

Professionals from all walks of life have been successfully using their own dedicated websites to build their brands, connect with their communities and gain new customers for years now. If you have not yet joined them, now is the perfect time to get started.

Click let’s talk Now

Many providers of professional services do not realize just how important being online really is. Whether you are an accountant, a tax preparer, a solicitor or a real estate professional, you need to have a dedicated website to showcase your skills, interact with your customers and build your business.

Website built with latest Technology

Only a dedicated web presence can provide these advantages, and experienced professionals already understand that fact. If you have not yet established yourself and showcased your credentials on the Internet, you are missing out on a world of opportunity. Some accountants, solicitors and other professionals have assumed that building a social media presence through Facebook, Twitter and other sites is a suitable substitute for building their own dedicated websites, but there are a number of reasons why this is not the case.

For one thing, professionals who set up shop on Facebook and Twitter are at the mercy of those sites and their terms of service. If Facebook makes a change to its privacy policy or changes the way posts appear to end users, your business could suffer. Worse yet, future changes could make your site, and your business, look sloppy and unprofessional.

When you have a dedicated web presence, you are in total control of how you look to your clients. You can set up a messaging platform to interact with your clients and give advice.

You can build a database of frequently asked questions to provide existing and potential clients with valuable information. You can post articles and tips that cause others to look at you as an expert in your field. Only a dedicated web presence can provide you with all those advantages, and the time to get started is now.
